Sun Rune says; Happy Solstice!
Night came fast on the shortest day of the year. The snow storm had ended earlier in the day leaving all of Budehuc blanketed in a deep white.
The darkness is suddenly replaced by a blinding light. It lasts only seconds but could be seen by everyone. Even people asleep across the continent are able to see what can only be described as the sun returned in the middle of the night and are left with no explanation.
Much as Budehuc is left with no explanation for what it was. But it's aftermath is completely obvious. The heat from it would have been lethal had it lasted for any longer, as such it only made the atmosphere uncomfortable, especially as the cold winter air returned as though it had been there all along. The true damage was done to the snow. The high piles were no match for the sudden heat and ALL of it melted in an instant. The burning light was gone before it could completely evaporate it, and the water left behind flowed everywhere, flooding the ground levels of all of the buildings before freezing again into hills and valleys of smooth ice.
It is a dangerous scene and there is nothing to suggest what the cause was.
