Another weekend come and gone too quickly. I don't mind that time seems to pass quicker the older you get. It's actually quite helpful when you're waiting for things like a weight loss goal or a vacation. But I do wish the weekends would stick around longer.
Friday night Kaytee was in town so the family went to see HP (minus mom who was busy). It was very enjoyable and I may go see it again when Mom eventually goes. I won't bother with a review since most of my LJ friends have probably already seen it (or aren't planning to and therefore probably don't care too much either way) but I will say that I liked the pacing a LOT better than in the previous couple of movies. They seemed to finally have accepted the fact that you can't possibly fit 5 hours worth of plot into a 2 and 1/2 hour movie and opted to cut out some plot elements that, while great to read in the book, weren't really essential to the overall plot and instead spend more time on the humorous character driven elements.
Saturday was NJ of course, and Sunday was the world's longest grooming appointment for Pepper. Someone called out sick and I made the mistake of showing up at their estimated "done" time only to wait another hour and a half. Ah well, at least she came out looking cute.
And so now it is Monday yet again. I need to take a vacation soon or the summer is going to slip away from me as fast as this lunch break did. Not to go anywhere special- just to have a day off that isn't spent doing chores or driving for hours.
