I would like to see Scrapbook able to handle .ico images for personalized favicons.
Full description of the idea
I have a personalized favicon for my LiveJournal. It requires an image in .ico format to be hosted someplace and linked from the theme settings. Scrapbook does not handle .ico images, therefore I have to store the image elsewhere. This has proven to be very inconvenient and frustrating, as each time I find a place to store the image, it is fine for a few days, then the site goes down or their bandwidth gets used up or something else happens and my favicon is gone and I have to move it again. This happens even on sites that claim to have unlimited bandwidth and storage capacity.
An ordered list of benefits
- If I could simply store my .ico image in my Scrapbook, I would no longer have to continue to move it around the internet and it would be safe and accessable permanently.
- I do not have enough technical knowledge to know what the drawbacks might be.
- I suspect there could be bandwidth issues.
