Title
Add a one-click 'unsubscribe' to all LJ e-mails

Short, concise description of the idea
Add a link to the bottom of every LiveJournal e-mail that will automatically unsubscribe the user from all of their e-mail notifications.

Full description of the idea
I'd like to see LiveJournal add a link to the end of every e-mail message that, when clicked, disables all e-mail notifications from being sent to that address. It would disable the old-style comment notifications completely, and untick e-mail notifications for all of the subscribed notifications for that account.

Users could turn these notifications back on in the message settings page if they wanted to.
An ordered list of benefits
  • There won't be a flood of "UNSUBSCRIBE ME RIGHT NOW" support requests every time a new news post is made.
  • LJ will be more compliant with e-mail best practices.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • If users accidentally click it, a way to "un-unsubscribe" will need to be implemented.
