Only 150+? I've got nearly 300 mutual friends...

Perhaps the option to sort by users or comms you have in the inbox currently, rather than by everyone on your friends list? Also, what about notifs for non-friends? I get notifs for this comm, but I'm not watching it otherwise.

I track comms and its easier that way to get their notifs and to see whats going on. I was thinking of a drop down list or an a-z sort like an email system.

I would be satisfied with an option for pulling up "all community notifications" and "all friend notifications" separately, but if it's feasible to code it for individual usernames, that would be especially useful.

Exactly what I was thinking. Just wanted it easier to organize and read.

So a 'sort alphabetically by user or community' option?

I'd see it sorting by: username of the person (if about them like a userpic notification or a friending/defriending notification or from them like a private message); your journal name and then their username if in your journal (like a comment notification -- as I'm azurelunatic, comments in my journal would be in the 'a' section and then internally ordered by who was talking); community username and then their username if it is in a community (since I monitor suggestions posts, comments here would be under 's' and then sorted by the letter of the username talking); username of the journal it's in and then username (for tracking comments in an entry in someone else's personal journal (like if I tracked comments in my friend jennifer's journal, it would be under 'j' first and then sorted by the username of the commenter).

Exactly what I was thinking, like an email service, just easier if you want to read certain things and haven't got all the time-especially if you're signed up to ONTD or Wtf_inc-major inbox hoggers
