I think it would be great if you could sort the messages based on what community they are from, with a little drop-down box at the top or on the left-hand column where the 'Bookmarks' and the 'Friend Updates' are. It sure helps if you don't go into LJ for a day and have 500 messages to go through.

• Helps people go through their messages faster
• Helps people read their messages that they feel like reading that day or want to know about faster

An ordered list of problems/issues involved

• I don't know how to do this, but I'm sure you guys could, probably that the friends part would be hard, especially if one has like 150+ friends
