Sure, as long as there was some amount of size restriction on the automatic pictures (which I know ScrapBook supports). Would this work as a date-based page, limited to the last 2 weeks?

...and try to code this, are slim to none, I think it will have whatever the designers and implementers come up with.

I generally like this idea. However there is one scenario I would be concerned about:

Someone makes a friends only post in a community. They wish to post a picture in that community from scrapbook. Not everyone in the community is on their friends list. To post the image in this way they make the image public and place that public image in a private gallery. This insures that the image is only accessible to someone who knows the URL or is viewing a post in which contains the URL.

An easy work around for this would be to only show images on the friends page when the user has access to view both the image and the gallery.

only including images that you can view both the gallery and the image seems like a reasonable limitation

At any rate, I really hope they someone does implement this suggestion, because as a user of both flickr and livejournal...we know how addicted we are to friends pages...if we could have the photos show up on a photos friends page (or even on the normal friends page) it would get used addictively. I love the friends page on flickr...though I'd rather see it stream the way the LJ friends page does...but any sort of friends page for photos is nice :)

More than a year and a half, and still "no status." :(
