Facebook uses the url "FB.com" so people can get to the site faster. "LJ.com" would be great for people like me who use Livejournal as a business site.
An ordered list of benefits

• My site would sound and look better as "eminkey.lj.com."
• It's much easier to remember and type.
• It looks better on a business card.
• Tumblr is better for a business URL because the name is so short.

• "LJ.com" is currently owned by an adult site, but could probably be bought for a low price.
