Title
Always send email to notify you of post-by-email errors

Short, concise description of the idea
When you submit a post by email and there's an error, LiveJournal should respond by email telling you what the error was.

Full description of the idea
For some post-by-email errors, LiveJournal already sends an email back to the sender's address telling them what the error was. But for other errors, it doesn't. LJ should do this for all post by email errors.
An ordered list of benefits
  • You know right away that your post failed, and why.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • I can't think of a drawback. It seems ridiculous that LJ does this for some errors but not others. Because it does this for some, I erroneously assumed that it would do it for all such errors, and got confused when an email post of mine failed with an error that LJ chooses not to send a reply for. Because of that, I just assumed that LJ was being very slow processing my post, as it had been sometimes in the past. Someone on support explained it to me, days later.
