We're sort of halfway there already. Identity accounts that upgrade to regular account can continue to login to the regular LJ account with their identity credentials (Facebook Connect, Twitter, or openID). I wonder how difficult it would be to enable the process in reverse.

This seems sensible to me, but only if there is a way to connect the URLs.
