Title
Automated Style Change

Short, concise description of the idea
Automatic livejournal style change at certain intervals.

Full description of the idea
At certain intervals, that either the user could define, or livejournal itself, livejournal's journal styles could be changed randomly or, if at all possible, according to a ranking list of user favorites.

An ordered list of benefits
  • * One style all the time becomes boring after a while, but manual change can be for some users too much effort. Or they don't know how to do it, since perhaps they didn't change any options since registering the journal. Whatever the reason, it would be certainly a treat for most users.
    * Livejournal has a slew of styles to choose from. Allowing for automated style changes would bring a few of the less used/known ones to the front.
    * It would increase the interest in the creation of more livejournal styles, thus being further advertisement of livejournal itself. Firefox's Personas became a hit very fast, after all.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • * Technical implementation wouldn't be easy, perhaps, but other than that, I can't see any disadvantages.
