A certain amount of diligence is required to experience the blessings that come with every new day.
Some days I need to just try harder to look past the bad (usually left-overs from yesterday) and find those "new mercies".
There are even days where there seems to be an unbearable weight of hopelessness and lack of faith in everthing I think, feel, and do.
Yet, holding on in spite of, forces our circumstances to tield to the authority of Christ within.
Like a storm breaking to reveal the sunlight and painting our circumstance in a beauty that can only hint at what heaven has in store.
So, instead of allowing the "day" do to me whatever it will (like the wind to a reed), let me try just a little harder to seize the blessings that are waiting to be found.
