i was talking with my friend doctorlady and the texican last night about ethics and morality.
since when did the religious right (wrong) get to stake their claim on what is MORAL?
since when did morality include the abuse of power and priviledge the oppression/suppression/repression that the whole lot of them seem to be all about?
morality: of or relating to principles of right and wrong behavior: ethical: expressing or teaching a conception of right behavior, conforming to a standard of right behavior, sanctioned by or operative on one's conscience or ethical judgment, ...
i'm friends with some of the most ethical moral people i can imagine.
people who align themselves, their lives, and actions with the ideals set out by the integrity of their souls. what could possibly be more moral?
being that which we are here to be?
