Have you white smiles in each cheek? Do your fingers lace, bows tie, legs cross and shake appositionally?
Or do your hips sway, heels clack? Are your legs spread, lashes spread, brows ascending? If you untied your shoes would they reciprocate: untie you?
With clenched fists, would you pop? Paper or plastic?
Are you fish-lipped, zinc-popping, blonde? Waiting
behind me in line at the supermarket? Or are you fair-skinned, brittle-boned, sucked
dry, pinched thin, tossed ashore?
Does your voice smell like pine needles? Taste like venom? Sing like bees?
Is that saliva on your cheeks?
Are you spotted, wretched, maimed? Will you remember not to rot? Are you going, going, going, girl? with waxy candle toes? Is there a noose ‘round that thin neck?
Do I find you? Can I blink?
