My back was really bothering me to the point of almost debilitating me. I hadn't had a good night's sleep due to the pain in 3 weeks and you could tell.
On Thursday, I figured "enough is enough" and booked myself an appointment for acupuncture at a place that a dear friend of mine recommended. The appointment was on Saturday.
The last time I had acupuncture was over 1.5 yr ago when I discovered that my L4S5 was messed up. So, it's been a while.
The new acupuncture place was wonderful. The wonderful gentleman was calming and able to communicate intelligently. After a 40 min consultation going over every detail of my life, we were ready for the needles.
In addition to the needles, he also did some "cupping". I wasn't mentally prepared for it, but I went along anyways.
After the session, I felt nauseated and drained. When I got home, I drank a lot of water and fell into a deep sleep. (*) Basically slept until Sunday morning 11am. It was the most restful sleep I had had in quite a while.
(*) okay, I woke up at 6am on Sunday, made Jon jam-filled pancakes, fed Stella, then fell back to sleep at 8am with Stella by my side
I'm happy to say that I feel human again and not some dreadful zombie. Thank goodness for needles. I'll be back again soon
