I don't know what to call this...I'm just happy.
Although I've been in Jo'Burg for about 8 hours, I'm still ridin' high on my weekend. It was honestly the best weekend I've had in years. It's such a cool accomplishment to work on something that seems to be a roarin' success. Such great music, such great venues, cool new people... I was so tired I slept about 13 of the 16 hours of the flight from DC to Jo'Burg. I NEVER sleep that much on the plane. If I'm lucky, I sleep like 3 hours with the help of an Ambien. And the flight was way turbulent. Here's to overcoming fears!
Great music just makes me feel good about life. Every time I see Kimya live, it's like this overwhelming aura of contentment just washes over me and I feel optimistic about life again. If I could see her live every few weeks I think it would be better than therapy;-) I need to order some more CDs. I totally didn't get one of Angelo Spencer or Velvet b/c I kept leaving my cash at home!
Okay...I'm off to try to sleep a little bit more before I have to wake up again. I think there's a 7 hour difference going on...
