I want to make a bumper sticker that says, "Religion cannot hold office in my government". Of course, it will have to be magnetic or a static sticker, because I don't actually adhere things to my car

I sincerely apologize if I have, in any way, offended you. As much much as I despise religion affecting government, I equally despise it affecting religion, which isn't so much of a problem in my neck of the woods. Clearly, it is the zealots that make me angry. Right now the political climate over here is unbearable. And it is better over here, but I fear for the future. I can see where the mixture of religion and government goes, as could the forefathers of the US, but so many are blinded by their own arrogance.

Why can't everybody just be a moderate? I believe, back from my fundamentalist days, that in Songs, it talks about having balance in your life.

As for the preacher, it was a horrible, horrible accident. His poor wife and children. How bewildering that must be.

I don't believe that God is vengeful. And I do believe in some sort of higher power. I have my own superstitions and they are called Karma. I believe that kindness, love, respect and moderation will reap the same. I believe what Ronald Reagan said about trusting your enemies, but checking the facts.

I'm weary of labels. I'm tired of Conservatives and Liberals fighting united under those banners. What's the matter with having an independant thought? I'm very pissed and don't have the slightest clue what to do about it...

Don't be silly. Nothing offended me. You're right that everybody should just be a moderate and get the heck on with one another. I think that if all of the zealots from all religions were exiled to one island the rest of the world would function and do so well.
