Calling BULLSHIT!
I want to make a bumper sticker that says, "Religion cannot hold office in my government". Of course, it will have to be magnetic or a static sticker, because I don't actually adhere things to my car.
Anyway, I'm so very sick of religion and religious opinions affecting or threatening to affect my life. I don't tell them how fucking superstitious it is to believe that praying gets you anything. My most recent proof for my belief that God has no effect on our everyday lives? The Baptist preacher in Waco, TX, who got electrocuted after touching the microphone while waist deep in the baptismal--in front of 800 or so parishioners. If ever there was no proof of a loving/protective God, this is it. Never mind all the horrible things that happen to innocent children every day. That is easily swept under the rug and forgotten. But 800 people witnessed this. If there is a God, which the jury's out for me either way, it is entirely possible that he is a spiteful, mean SOB. This is certainly not a God that gives a damn about a "culture of life". I call the big BULLSHIT on religion...
