& Real LifeHa ha, I've been so bad at updating recently! If I'm completely honest as to why, I've been really distracted by other things. My life has been almost entirely work, sleep and Pokemon RP. If it's any consolation, though you're not missing much. X3 I'm sorry I'm not more caught up on what's going on in your lives right now ( Read more... )

yossi, hello!project, music, musings, peipei, katsucon, fandom

It's not all over yet! XD; Elder Club are still in H!P until the end of the month. They're doing events and things in Japan still; Mari recently posted about an H!P handshaking event that she did. I mean okay for foreign fans it doesn't mean much because the last thing we'll really see is already over (the concert) but ... I'm ocd about details so I had to say something baww. T_T

I saw that Frances and Aiko thing the other day and was kinda super creeped out. Girls that were born after Morning Musume was formed should not be in Hello! Project jesus christ.

Wait what is Hitomi Saitou doing? I am so out of the loop with that.

I'm also super sad about Ayaya. I LOVE Chocolate Damashii. I really do. It's got the right beat and feel and it's makes me feel fuzzy. I doubt she got very good marketing for it though. When I was in Japan I didn't really see anything for H!P people on TV... The only time I saw MoMusu on TV was on a late night program. They don't really show up on the primetime ones anymore. :(

I used to feel that way about Berryz/C-ute but I started paying more attention to them recently. In Japan C-ute's Tokkaiko Junjou was pretty darn popular and they had it playing on a big digital billboard thing in Ikebukuro. I was surprised they were doing so well! I can finally name all of the girls in both groups and can recognize maybe half by voice, haha, but not many of them do anything for me.
I think overall Berryz has the cuter songs. They feel more like golden H!P to me, like Waracchaou yo Boyfriend has a super "early 2000s" H!P feel for me. I dunno.

Have I rambled enough? I will just keep going! In current MoMusu I only really like Risa. When Koharu first appeared I was rooting for her like mad. Then around halfway through her solo career she was grating, and now I like her again because Happy Happy Sunday is far too cute and I can't help myself. Augh. I love MilkyWay though. Yuu is wonderful.

Also Gorokkies means "5th & 6th gen." Rokkies is just 6th gen. I think that's what you meant when referring to Eri & Sayumi, haha. I like Eri & Sayumi. Sayumi I adored at first, then hated with a passion, and now I'm warming up to her again. The recent single helps.

Aw, well, as far as them still being around, I'm glad for it. It's harder for me, since I've only just brushed up, and I still won't get to shake any of their hands. XD But either way, as long as they're still active somewhere I'll be happy.

I dunno, I feel like Tsunku's trying to reach out and take a lot of wild chances- expanding to other countries is one thing, but employing girls that young to be idols really squicks me out. @3@;

Me, too! Ayaya's always been my favorite soloist, her unique voice and great stage presence have always shone so brightly. But I do understand; I don't know the long and short of it, but I do know HaroMoni's been cancelled for a long while, and that they haven't had as many TV appearances.

I do like some of Berryz/C-ute's older stuff, don't get me wrong. It's mostly just their new stuff. I wasn't fond of Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance, for example, I feel like they're just trying to play off their old work. I dunno. I loved Waracchaou yo Boyfriend, though. D:

Youuuu are right, I meant Rokkies. XD I was looking up Soreyuke Gorokkies clips last night, that's why it stuck in my head! What has happened to me, I am not at all the H!P buff I once was. ;A; I am so back and fourth about Sayu, honestly. I tend to shy away from the "cute" characters, because I feel like they try to hard.. but I do harbor a bit of a fondness for her now that she's grown up a bit.
