my bad synopsis: two ppl got married, were incompatible, husband left on their thirtieth anniversary, and what happened with everybody, their kids, inlaws, their runaway daughter's son, and finally the daughter and her husband.
Anne Tyler-ish. marriage. is it better to be very involved and quarrel all the time or to be very independent and feel like icing on the cake? my apologies for my not-very-well-formed thoughts...
