Turns out I will be having a hysterectomy By Davinci robot on March 24th. The pathology from my previous surgery showed thickening and endometrial cells that were atypical to normal cells, which, in 30% of cases, can develop into cancer ( Read more... )

The recovery phase is always the worst part of any surgery. I hope it all goes very smoothly for you, and that recovery is fast and as easy as possible. Good luck - I'll be pulling for you.

I'm praying for you, my friend! If you'd like, I can ask my mom if she has advice about the recovery period. (Her surgery was more traditional because it had to be...we can talk more about that via PM if you want.) ♥

Yes, the reports from patients and doctors indicate the recovery time may be quite brief compared to traditional open abdomen surgery. Thanks for your wishes!
