At 1:00 pm today Mr. Morgan, a 42 year old man, committed suicide at his home, while his wife and 16 and 14 year old daughters were there. His 16 year old daughter, Jordan, is very good friends with many of my friends. I was talking with Katie online when it happened and she had been talking to Jordan when it happened. I went to Katie's house to be with her and then Katie and her sister Bridget and I went to the ER to be with Jordan and her family. Mr. Morgan had been battling severe depression for awhile, but everyone thought things had gotten much better. No one knows the exact details of how it happened, although they know he used a gun.
But none of that matters, what matters now is that there are 2 little girls without their daddy. They are so lost. I just spent the last 4 hours in the ER waiting room supporting Jordan's friends, who were trying to support her. You could tell Jordan was in shock, for she didn't know what to do and just wanted to be alone. Mr. Morgan's sister, is my next door neighbor, so they were also there and completely distraught.
Anyways, for anyone who has experienced loss, you know that there is nothing anyone can say or do for you to make you feel better. But there is one thing that helps and that is prayer. Please, please offer up some prayers for this family, could you imagine being in their shoes right now. Just pray that God would give them the strength and comfort to survive at this time.
