Title: Holiday Travel

Warnings/Spoilers: Pilot. Set in some world where Clark and Lex get married and all is well
Author's Notes: I've had a bit of trouble completing comment!fics lately. This was written in response to a comment made many days ago by nonotthatone about holiday travel = nightmare

I missed this the first time 'round but had a very good laugh at the end. It's horrible being in the passenger seat when someone with a completely different style is at the wheel. I always am trying to hit the brakes or press the accelerator, depending on which extreme they fall into. Cuddling with Clark would make for a great distraction!

My working 'example' are my friends J and N. They've been married two years, but getting in a car with them is always an adventure. J drives too slow and cautious, and his reaction time is slower than N's. Which leads to her griping and calling his name and making funny noises whenever he drives.

Alternatively, N is a maniac behind the wheel, bless her heart. I think she's a good driver, but she drives the way I do. :D When she drives, J sits with his hand gripping the oh-shit handle. He's quieter, at least, but with his slower reaction time, he generally protests after the moment has passed.

My distraction? Is listening to them bicker in the car. Also, I don't reach for brake or accelerator, but I consciously relax my body so that if there is an accident, I don't hurt myself by being tense.

This makes me laugh and think about driving with my father. Maybe I'm just a lead foot, but omg, speed up, old man.

But ... is Lex behind the wheel REALLY the only thing Jonathan experienced the whole trip that made him want to hide his eyes? >:)

And my writing fetishes are many. ^__^ Also, food fights are fun for the way that they give you a perfectly natural, innocent way of getting dirty... so that I can also think about the dirty, sexy ways they get clean.
