THE GOLDEN GLOBES and RICKY GERVAIS!
What does everyone think about Ricky Gervais's comments at the Golden Globes this year? Newspapers and TV shows seem to be obsessed with it here in the UK. I'm a Ricky Gervais fan. I loved The Office and loved Extras even more, especially Dan Radcliffe's episode, so I GET his style of humour. However, I can understand that some people think he overstepped the mark a few times. Bruce Willis, Ashton Kutcher's Dad!! Hilarious! The comments about Robert Downey Jr were a bit harsh. True, but harsh. He's obviously turned a corner and has put all that behind him so it shouldn't have been mocked. The problem with Ricky is that he delivers his lines with a serious tone so you don't quite know whether he really means what he's saying. Somehow, I don't think he'll be invited back next year but then again, perhaps they'll do it just to see if he can be even more outrageous! Whatever happens, I love him, and I'm looking forward to whatever his next project will be.
