i'm having trouble finding REAL hardcore beatle fans my age as well! i have lots of friends that i know from going to ringo concerts and the fest for beatles fans and from the paul secret shows, but they're all way older! they're all middle aged people who really grew up back then, and that's all of the people i've really managed to be able to hang out with and really have a good time with! i seriously cannot stand my generation (i'm 22 years old); everyone is so concerned with, i think, the wrong things. they're all so into myspace and ipods and going to the mall and having stupid boyfriends every five minutes. half of them don't even know what's going on in the world, they can't even name any senators, or aren't even aware of the conflict between georgia and russia! it's like this generation is so wrapped up in themselves that they can't see the bigger picture, and anything that was before 1990 is nonexistent and too old and not cool.

people my age are boring. case closed. lol :D

xD I hate the girls with boyfriends that are all like...silly, not all of them, but most of the ones i know are all stupid.
I dont like that people neither, they are like so closed in themselves, the latest fashion, trying to be cool by hearing crap music and that.My class mates are that kind of person, I cant even talk with them, coz they are not mature enough, and just think I have to deal with them one more year! thats hell! >,And yeah, when they noticed I liked the ebatles, specially john, they started teasing me and all that...I get angry, coz they think their music its old, that they are "old uncool people" and they are wrong, but its just losing my time if i try to talk with them. I just have friends and hardcore beatle fans over here, internet. But I dont have as much as I'd like to...I was wondering if people out there had the same problem, and it seem so xD ( ... )

I'm not sure if any tribute bands tour near where you live, but you should go see some. You'd be amazed at the number of young people there. The other nice thing about tribute bands is that they're not cocky and arrogant. I'm really good friends with Jimmy Pou formerly from "1964"... The Tribute, and occasionally communicate with Gary Grimes and Tom Work who currently work with "1964"... The Tribute.

It's not that your/our generation is boring; it's that you haven't found the right bits of it yet. There are many, MANY teenage Beatles fans in the world; they're just a bit more difficult to find sometimes.

But don't discount adults! Most of my very very good friends are in their thirties-- or above-- and I love them dearly. It's a great learning experience, as well, being friends with people much older than oneself.

Oh yeah they do, Ive gone to see some of then, and some little performances by many many bands. But that was a little while ago, its been more than 6 months that I havent been at any of those...and the times i went there was a lot of young people, as you said, just that most of the ones i meet were like "oh yeah, i love paul, he is just too cute and handsome, dont you like him too?" they just had like a crush on them..I guess I have to go and look for more people if I go anytime soon to see any tribute band..

And yeah, I have some friends that are over 30 yrs old xD and I get along very very well with them, and they know so much more about the beatles than I do, so i really like talking with them.

I used to feel exactly like you, until about a year and a half ago.It was so depressing not to have anybody to share my love for The Beatles .And worse, my so called"friends"used to make fun of me,for liking that "crappy old music"that they find so annoying.
Anyway, one day I decided to put my "shyness" aside, and I went to a tribute band show, all by myself.
And it was the best decision I ever made.I was amazed,as catnip_martini said ,most of the people there were very young. And three of them became my dearest friends. It's been incredible,we have so much in common, and I can't believe how much fun I missed before I met them. It's great. To have people my age who understand that this is not a phase, that is really important for me.
So it's not impossible, there is brilliant people out there xD

I need to put my shyness aside too -_- I guess thats it, I get along very well with most people here, but in real life is kinda, difficult to me for being sociable. But yeah, I guess here might be some real beatle fans around where I live.
Ill just have to go and look for them XD

I listen to some older music besides The Beatles, but most of my music has come out within the last 10-15 years. I love Paul because he is cute yes, but I think my heart belongs to John if any Beatle because of his lyrics. My best friend and I sort of "discovered" the Beatles at the same so I've really never felt alone in that aspect. IT does drive me crazy though when I make references to them or want to talk about them and nobody else understands or cares.

PS - The clinical site I'm at right now plays The Beatles through the speakers all of the time. It brightens my day.

I love Paul more than John I guess, but John's lyrics have much more sense to me..(not saying paul's ones dont have sense, just that i prefer johns..). The only friends I used to have, before I moved to this town i am now, dont like the beatles, just when i moved is when i discovered them, but i have no one to talk about them. Thought my mum knows a friend of hers , whose mum loves the beatles and she even went to see them live at detroit *is jealous* but I have no comunication with her, I dont even know her, and its the only person i have notice that really likes the beatles. Of my age there might be some..but I have to look for them, some of them say they dont like them to prevent for being teased about it.
I didnt and im being teased about it -.-' anyway. I just have to look for the right people, and i might find someone, i guess xD
