The road to hell ...
We decided last night that we would be up early on voting day and vote early. After hubby brought me tea at 7, I went back to sleep. I seemed to find the most perfectly comfortable position which doesn't happen everyday so we only got to the school to vote at about 10:15. The queue was short but obviously the processing time was very long and we waited an hour and a quarter. They didn't seem to be very organised. There were 8 voting booths and only one or 2 were occupied at a time. The holdup was checking ID's and finding people on the voters roll.
Considering that there are a few years between election dates, was it not possible to streamline the system at all?
Anyway, the company was good and the breakfast afterwards was most appreciated.
Did anyone else notice how hard the DA is pushing for votes this year?
