One thing I realized about myself recently has been a big stumbling block to romance in my life. That I like women better when they like me as a friend is not a coincidence, it is because they are being themselves instead of ...whatever they do when they like a guy.

I was just watching the first season of Big Bang on DVD, and it has great example of romantic self-sabotage by not being oneself, at least by Leonard. Sheldon being himself is another thing.
