I finally got a chance to watch last sunday's Dexter. Now I'm ready for a tv reactions post. ^^

Dexter 2x06 - Dex, Lies & Videotape
Okay, I am completely serious here. This moment:

May literally be the prettiest shot I have ever seen in a TV show. I don't even know what about it gets me so much, but that actually took my breath away. The stepping into the light, the lighting(or lack of lighting) in it - it is seriously a work of art. How can a show about murder and blood be the most beautiful thing on television?

As for the actual plot. Wow. I started out completely on team Rita. Which has a lot to do with the fact that Julie Benz is like a Vision in this show and I think I'm a little bit in love with her. Last week started to sway my confidence in them, because, while I still love Rita and think she is an incredible character, seeing Dexter actually being open and accepted and not hiding behind a mask was amazing. And this week. Wow. I'm not sure how I feel about his sudden surge of passion, but it actually made sense within the story.
And just... this show blows me away. In everything it does. I meant to say productive things here, but I can't do anything but gush about it. Sorry.

The Office - 4x07 Survivor Man
Seeing Jim show his assy side is not my favorite thing. However, as I have pointed out on numerous occasions, any episode that has Jim&Michael bonding in it automatically wins me over. I really love their quasi-friendship, and paralleling them was a brilliant moment, for both characters. Jim is obviously getting started on a big character-development arch here, which will be cool. Almost more importantly, though, this showed that Michael, freaky inappropriate Michael, started out like Jim. Obviously he wasn't exactly like Jim, he had way too many issues before he even started at Scranton (or at least he should have had, considering what we know about his childhood), but it was a great thing both for the viewers and for Jim himself to see the similarities between the show's "golden boy" and Michael.
I also liked that Pam knew all along how it would end, but she just smiled and let him go along, letting him see for himself.
And the small touch of the Dwight&Michael parallelism was awesome, Dwight brining Michael back in the same BSG shirt that Michael had brought Dwight back from Staples.

Also: Mr. A Knife. Hahahaha, I laughed for like 2 minutes.

Ugly Betty 2x05-2x07
I completely renounce Betty/Henry (who I still love dearly, don't get me wrong) as my main ship of this show. Marc/Cliff are the cutest thing in the history of TV. I am literally making little "aaaaaw"-noises every time they are on screen together. Marc has always been one of my favorite characters, and they are just way too adorable to even be real.
I'm going back to wanting to stab Alexis with a very big knife. And it's not even really her fault this time. I just get really protective when it comes to Daniel. Who, by the way, FIRED BETTY? WTF? So much drama in the last ep. Obviously it won't be permanent, but still, WOAH!
Lastly: Henry with bed-hair? OMFG SO HOT!

Dirty Sexy Money needs to not get canceled because it is awesome and Donald Sutherland as Tripp Darling is one of the most amazing things ever.

I'm also finally up to date with Robin Hood. It is such fantastic crack, I had no idea. I want to marry the writers of this show. Where else do they have lines like "
May snakes crawl up your nose holes and feast on your tiny tiny brain". :D

I still have this week's Supernatural, 3 eps of Life and 3 eps of Friday Night Lights to watch. time, where are you.

Anyway, I gotta get club-ready for tonight. Later lovelies. ♥

tv: dexter, tv: robin hood, tv: the office, tv: ugly betty, tv: dirty sexy money
