'and life goes on, within you and without you'

Oh, Moffat.  Thank you.

"Day of the Doctor".......Yes.  Moffat has fixed the excesses of Rusty's era, and it all works and everything is lovely.  Quick version of my reaction. ;)

Or, as one of my favorite Cajun songs ends:  "If yew doan like dat, yew doan like frrriiiiiied chick'n!"

Moffat clarifies the Doctor's motive for involvement in the Time War, as well as re-affirming the Doctor's fundamental character.  We get Gallifrey back, as it's obvious what Capaldi's Doctor will pursue.  But, in addition to the future, hello, past!  Not just a tribute, but a serious study of what has gone before and an incorporation into the present and the future.  Good God--even Rose was dignified!

I'm so happy.  I welled up at the 1963 theme and the slow fade into 11/23; I can't even imagine what Moffat will do to me at Christmas.

And, yeah--in a stroke of misjudgement, BBCA is showing "End of Time" right now, after Moffat's masterpiece.  All I can think is....How brilliant would Tennatn had been, if Moffat had been able to write his era? And, Oh God--please, Santa Moff:  I don't really think it will happen at all, but your hand on the character of Wilf would be a thing of beauty.
