It's an early Sunday afternoon, and the weather outside is surprisingly bright. Today is going to be a productive day, at least more productive than yesterday. I needed a chill/cheap weekend, because I've been making a bad habit of spending way too much the every payday. Then the next week, I'm having to live like a pauper just to get to the next paycheck. But now that I've gotten in touch with some crucial people that owe me money, my finances can equalize much better after the end of this week. I also need to start studying for the GRE (general and subject) and writing my statement of purpose. I feel that if I lock in at least a good three hours, then do some more research on grad schools, it'll be a good day. There will still be enough time to put in some work at the gym, catch some football games, make dinner, and otherwise take advantage of this nice day. Some things coming up soon will be a possible interview at SFSU for a laboratory technician job, halloween, our housewarming party, and just getting out there and enjoying the SF nightlife. It's only Alex and I's first month living together in SF, and we're getting into an awesome rhythm. I'm doing well on keeping up with bills and rent, but can't help but think how much money getting this SFSU job will save me. It's literally a short walk down the street from our place, and I won't have to worry about paying the $3 a day for bridge toll. Now I'll have more time to explore the city during the week instead of only on the weekends. Life is looking pretty good in the near future, and I can't wait to see what happens.
