I got an In-N-Out double-double last night and ate it in my car. I had the seat kicked back and the sunroof open, and I was looking straight at the full moon. Mars is still very close, so I could see the Red Planet with an unaided eye right there too ( Read more... )

The dunes at sunset as a storm is rolling in.

Christmas 2003. We were at the top of this mountain when the storm rolled in. The wind was blowing about 40 mph and it was bitterly cold. We got down just in time before the rain and hail hit.
