Movie, lack of sex, arguments about sexuality...
I finally watched The Squid and the Whale. It was excellent, top-notch, etc.
Cute straight boys make life very difficult. One was definitely over tonight, and we had good conversation considering he's a bit of a quiet person. But yeah, the whole straight thing...I have trouble hanging out with straight guys on their own; there needs to be a third party to sort of ease the sexual tension that forces itself into my poor, unsuspecting imagination. The entire time, I was kind of wanting to jump his bones, but I practiced restraint. I figured it would just make the evening more awkward than it really needed to be.
I got into a bit of a dispute with Shanna the other night. I know she had good intentions with what she had to say, but it was hard to hear (or, as the case was, read) what she had to say about gay marriage. It's really unnecessary for me to get into it; she's a mormon, so I suppose she's more open about gays than I should have expected her to be. And it's not as though her opinion molds the law, so I shouldn't be worried. But she is my friend, so I sort of feel an obligation to both of us to change her mind.
