Jess opened the padded envelope carefully, taking out the opaque pink jewel case and blinking at it when it was in her hands.

She honestly didn't know what to make of it.

When Jinki had mentioned on the phone that he was sending her something, she thought it'd be a small care package or maybe a plushie that'd remind her of him. She'd spent an embarrassing amount of time after hanging up with him thinking of names for whatever stuffed animal he'd get her.

But this...this was not an adorable bunny plushie. In fact, this...wasn't even labelled.

She opened the case carefully, extracting the disc from the prongs holding it to inspect the object closer. No part of it gave any indication of what was on the cd. She huffed, slightly annoyed.

"Lee Jinki..." She grumbled, before going to her bed and opening her laptop. It was almost 3:30 in the morning in Seoul, so she couldn't call him. Her only choice was to just play it. It may not have been as cuddly as a stuffed bunny, but a mixed cd, while somewhat archaic, was still thoughtful.

Smiling, she pressed the disc into the slot in her laptop, getting up to tuck the envelope into the small, decorated box with all the other letters he'd sent, unable to throw anything from him away.

Her eyes widened when she heard his voice.

"Is it on? Is it recording?"

There was a peel of laughter from someone else and the sound of a small struggle as another voice, lower than Jinki's said with what sounded like disdain, "Stop dicking around Jonghyun! Just hold it up!"

Jessica let the box of letters drop from where she'd been tucking it back up into its spot on the top shelf of her closet. Different colored envelopes decorated with cutesy stickers and ridiculously curly script or drawings and colored in rainbows and airplanes scattered to the floor. She couldn't get back to her bed fast enough, eyes widening when she realized what he'd sent her. Without even thinking, she backed up the video message.

On the screen, three sets of shoes came into view, whoever was holding the camera clearly trying to figure out how to work it. "Is it on? Is it recording?"

Jessica swallowed hard, watching the screen intently. The camera then moved up to crotch belonging to one of the sets of feet, laughter blaring through the speakers of her laptop. "Stop dicking around Jonghyun! Just hold it up!"

The camera panned up then to Jinki, who was looking down at his shoes, still trying to fix his hair. Jessica bit her lip, urging him to look up silently, hoping he'd hear her even though the space time continuum didn't quite work like that.

Either way, Jinki looked up and smiled, and her breath caught in her chest, her hand coming up to her mouth.

"Hey Jess." He said nervously, with a sheepish smile. It was awkward and somehow the same way he'd always said it and something tugged at her heart as her face heated up. She was blushing, she realized. Blushing even though he wasn't there. Blushing because he was talking to her. Just like they used to. And smiling at her. God, she wanted to cry at that smile. She knew she'd missed it but she hadn't realized just how much until it was right in front of her. Right there.

She couldn't help it as her fingers reached up to touch the screen where his face was, his hand nervously scratching the back of his head, the same nervous habits as always.

"I decided that, even though you're not here, you should still enjoy Seoul. A lot better than San Francisco! So today we..." Jinki paused, waving to whoever was off camera until two faces appeared, one with big round eyes and a messy mop of black hair, waving with a kind smile, and a more awkwardly angled face, the one of the boy holding the camera, with fashionably styled hair and a distinctly amused face. Minho and Jonghyun. Jinki's best friends. "Are going to take you around Seoul." The camera moved as Jonghyun turned the camera on himself.

"It's not the same since you left noona!" He yelled, and Jess giggled, mostly because of the struggle for the camera after that, and the obvious height difference when the person fighting him for it won.

Minho appeared on screen. Jonghyun pouting behind him before making peace signs and funny faces to the lens. "Finish your semester abroad soon noona. We miss you a lot." He added sincerely, smiling. Jess patted her cheeks, feeling overwhelmed with emotion.

"Yah! This is my video! Stooooop!" She grinned as Jinki's swatting hands came into view before the scene changed to Jonghyun and Minho standing in front of a cafe. Their cafe to be specific. A big smile spread on her face as Minho and Jonghyun waved their hands in front of the sign as if presenting it to her with a flourish and a "Tada!"

Jinki, at this point, had clearly settled on being the narrator for the video instead of actually being in it, and Jess's heart dropped a little. Still though, she was excited as they walked into the cafe, even when a few of the patrons gave them and the camera strange looks. Minho and Jjong acted as if nothing was off, walking up to the counter and leaning against it, leaving an open space fo Jinki and his camera to to walk up.

"Hey...guys..." The cashier said suspiciously, eyeing the camera. "What...can I get for you?"

"Taeminnie-yah. We're making a video for Jessica," Came Jinki's voice, and she smiled at the sound of her name coming off his lips so easily. "She's in America for a semester and we wanted to make something to remind her of home!" He sounded proud of himself and she had to hand it to him, this was a lot more than she expected from him. A lot better too.

Taemin's face donned sudden understanding and he nodded with a smile, dimples marking his cheeks as he bowed to the camera. "Ah...Do well in America Jessica-noona. Come back home soon. I'll give you free mochaccinos for life."

"Yah! What about us?! We're here! We like free stuff!" Jonghyun interjected from the side and Taemin laughed. "Jessica-noona is prettier." He said easily, and Jess blushed at the compliment.

"You know she's Jinki's girl, right munchkin?" Jonghyun smugly and the camera shook with movement as both Jinki and Minho hit him at the same time.

Taemin laughed good naturedly, going to make their usual drinks without needing to be told the order as Minho and Jinki whispered hushed threats to Jonghyun about his "big dumb stupid mouth." and Jess giggled at their silliness.

Things settled down by the time Taemin came back, sliding the drinks over to them and waving to the camera once again before pointing to the fourth cup on the counter. "I made you one too Jess noona! Come back before it gets cold, ne?"

"Aigoo..." Jess crooned, patting her chest at the sweetness. She heard Jinki's soft laughter and wished so badly that she could be there with them, enjoying this day as they'd wanted her to.

"Those are on the house guys. For noona!" Taemin chirped happily, and Jonghyun perked up.

"Really?"

"No," Taemin said, his face suddenly serious as he jutted his chin toward Jonghyun. "Yours is 6.80."

Jinki almost dropped the camera from laughing so hard.
