so three days ago my kittie farley was euthanized. i got farley when i was 17 and my friend sabrina had to sign his legal adoption papers because i wasn't 18 yet. i should call sabrina and tell her what happened. my poor dad is devastated and can't talk about it without crying. i wasn't allowed to take farley with me when i moved because my dad couldn't part with him. i guess he fell or something, he had a really severe spinal injury and they tried to save him by getting him cortisone (i think that's how you spell it) shots at the vet. after a few days that wasn't working anymore, his back right leg was paralyzed, his organs weren't working properly, and the swelling in his back was just getting worse. my parents went to the vet together with farley and discussed with the doctor what would be the best course of action. in the end they were all in tears because they decided they had no other choice but to have him put down. it's shitty and unfair, it would be a little easier to take if it was because he was old, but it was due to an accident.. makes it a little more difficult to swallow.
