They stood there, two dark silhouettes atop a tall, nameless building; against the sun’s slow climb down an invisible ladder that lead to a simple line in the horizon. Time seemed endless up here. Despite this it only took Kariya a few minutes before he opened his eyes and announced that he had his answer.
“You do?” Uzuki inquired, unbelieving. “Well, bring it by me.”
“You got it.”
And with that, after those three words were released into the sunny air, Kariya took three or four or five or so steps toward Uzuki, being cautious as to not provoke her in his movements, and leaned down, his back arching like a crescent, toward her now stunned face. Before she could even object to the sudden wave of kinetic energy, he had already locked his lips with her pink ones, holding her in a strong yet awkward kiss which lasted for only a few joyful moments. Immediately, immediately after their lips parted, Uzuki made it her job to screech in the loudest voice possible, straight into his left ear.
