I saw that two people had already done this that I could see and now that it is a little after 3 in the morning, I thought I would do it.
1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
I would have to say I fell in love with the coolest fucking girl that I have or will ever meet in my entire life.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never make any new years' resolutions for the simple fact that I'm pretty sure that I won't keep them so the best way not to get down about failing something is just not to make any at all. Plus, any time that I ever made any resolutions in the past, they were never done, but I always felt like shit for the simple fact that it made me feel like I failed myself.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope. Can't say anyone did, but maybe someone that is in my family gave birth and I just don't know it and really don't give two shits about it. But then again if they did have a kid and I didn't know about it, then that disqualifies them from being close to me.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope. There are some that are close to me that I do some times wish they did die just so that I don't have to worry about the next thing that they are gonna do to me or my friends. Sorry James that you had to put up with that shit.
5. What countries did you visit?
I didn't leave my good ol' home in the U.S.A. and I'm glad that I didn't because in my opinion I think that living any where else would just suck ass.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
I would like to have more hours at my job so that I can make more money and get the things that I want. But even more so than that I would like to see my brother do a couple of things. The first is to get a job that he actually likes and that isn't a fucking fast food job cause he deserves so much more than that. The second is for my brother to find a girl that cares as much for him as he does for her, that in Chase's words would be "leet".
7. What date(s) from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May 21- The day that I met the greatest thing in my life
Jun 14- I think that is the day that I graduated, but if I am wrong about that then someone that reads this might be able to set me straight.
Dec 25- The day of the coolest damn holiday extravaganza that I have ever had except for one thing, not being able to spend it with my brother Chase.
Dec 27- A lovely day that I forgot to say "Happy Birthday" and I fucked up someone's day and just simply felt like shit about it.
8. What was your biggest achievements of the year?
There aren't very many that I can say, but I will tell you the ones that I can remember:
1- Met an awesome girl that I love more than life itself
2- Spending more time with the coolest damn brother anyone could ask for
3- Meeting and becoming friends with my girlfriend's brother that I'm totally stoked on knowing
4- Obtaining a job at WinCo which I have wanted to do for quite some time now
5- Almost forgot the part that I list my graduation
9.What was your biggest botch?
Watching my brother fall head over heels for a few girls that in my eyes do nothing but use him for the shit that he does or will do for them. The botch there is that no matter what I say to him, he won't listen just because he doesn't look at it the same way that I do and that totally sucks.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I've now made it up to 5 times of almost dying when the EMT's have had to come to the house and revive my ass. These accurances have only started happening within the last 6 months or so.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I don't want to sound totally sappy but that might already be too late, but it would have to be the first 5 seasons of Sex and the City for my girlfriend for Christmas. She was totally happy on that note.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I would have to say out of all of my friends that would have to be the man that was given the name of James Sagen at birth. I say this because he has had many hardships befall him in the last six months that I think would make anyone question life, but he some how has kept himself upbeat and happy and that stokes me out. Another thing that I must commend him for is the fact that he has really been trying to step out from his personal safety bubble and get shit done for himself, instead of just being a hard-on about it.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I have to take my hat off and give that award to my mother.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Out the damn window it seems like cause I have had so much shit that I've had to buy myself to make so good ol' comfortable livin'.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Two things: Christmas just because I knew that it would be the best Christmas that I have ever really had and to celebrate that I have been with my girlfriend for 6 months.
16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2004?
I would have to say two damn albums remind me and will always remind me of the year 2004:
1- The Counting Crows- Films about Ghosts...The best of..
2- Less than Jake- Anthem
Both of these CD's to me kick royal ass and the songs I attribute to something that I was either thinking about at the time of listening to it or to what the song just so happens to be about.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier deffinately
ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner is sad to say but happens to be true
iii. richer or poorer? Personally richer but family wise, poorer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I would have to say I would of liked to have met more people and spent even more time with friends.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Being an asshole to the people that I care about and that are there for me always, but also for that one person that I thought would always be there for me but never actually was.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it with my girlfriends family and my brother and G-ma, which happen to be the only people that I really care about in my immediate family, 'cept for my dad.
21. What have you learned about yourself in 2004?
On a lesser scale, you can do anything that you want as long as you put your mind to it. Also, I've learned that it is true for people when they say that they don't think of themselves first.
22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
Yup and I have to say that I even love the times when she stresses me out or pisses me off cause after I cool off I know I love her even more.
23. How many one-night stands?
NONE!
24. What was your favorite TV program?
The Shield by far blows every other show out of the water, if you like police dramas.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
All I have to say is "yup."
26. What was the best book you read?
All of the Stephen King Dark Tower books. Im only on six right now but I know the seventh and final will be awesome.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Counting Crows by and by.
28. What did you want and get?
A girlfriend and it is totally rad. Also, the first four seasons of Futurama.
29. What did you want and not get?
My brother to stop being down in the dumps about things and to start looking at the brite side of things.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I would have to agree with my friend James on this one when he said the movie 'Big Fish' that movie is awesome.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I got kicked out of my house and I WAS 17 but now am finally 18.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Winning the lotto and knowing that I don't have to work a single damn day for the rest of my life.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Me.
34. What kept you sane?
What family that I do have, my kick ass friends, and my GF.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I would have to say Leonardo Dicaprio or how ever you spell his name, but he is a incredible actor.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
That would have to be gay marrige for the simple fact of that I don't understand why the can't get married.
37. Who did you miss?
That would deffinately have to be my father and my gradparents that live in Walla Walla.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I would have to give a hats off to most of the friends of my girlfriend that I have met because they seem like regular people for the most part, just a little misguided for the other part.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004.
Insulin can fuck your day up if you aren't careful with it. And that you really don't know how much you love someone until they aren't there any more.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
" You make me fucking sick to my stomach
Evey time I fucking think of you I puke"- Eminem from his Encore album
