Oooohhhg. How big is the splash? I did that several years ago, and it healed well enough eventually, but then it was smallish, with the biggest splotch being about 2 cm long. Hurt like a bugger though.

It's a biggie. 7-9cm long, and about 2cm at its widest part.

You technically aren't supposed to cover a burn, so try to keep it open and clean as much as possible.

I'm more than familiar with burns...hopefully it will heal soon.

Easier said than done. I have to work with a keyboard, and the side the burn is on is the side facing the desk when I type. I'll remove the bandage tonight at home.

fully aware of that. I once burned my arm about 30 minutes before having to put on a short sleeved shirt and then a wool jacket over it and then play my bagpipes for an hour at a solo performance. I had it covered up too. Hurt like hell!
