No Walls

One day we'll live in a City with no need for walls... God will be sufficient protection.

I was just reading about that in Ezekiel last night, and one of the future promises is that one day we will not need walls for our City. Of course, I now live in a City where I'm not surrounded by walls in case of attack the way old cities were, but there still are high walls and stuff to keep people out, or in, or whatever. In Heaven there won't be any sin so that won't be necessary.

I also applied it to another part of my life... the emotional part. Friendship is this huge balance of trust and trustworthiness, amongst many other things. You have to trust people... you can't just be cynical about everything and expect the worst from everyone all the time because you will just be miserable, but you also can't completely trust anyone because everyone is human and will let you down eventually, whether intentionally or not.

So maybe part of having no walls in Heaven is also meaning that our relationships will all be so perfect between one another that there won't have to be any emotional walls/barriers between people. We can all be totally and completely open and honest without a fear of ever being let down... Wow... that sounds like a perfect world to me. I realli can't wait for that day to come. There's so much more I could say about that, but it wouldn't do it justice... No one even knows how awesome it's gonna be.
