(Just want to let everyone know that "Forbidden Planet" (Wilcox, 1956) is going to air on TCM at 11:45 AM/PST tomorrow in case anyone is interested in watching. It's on as part of the channel's '31 Days of Oscar'. This film is also available on YouTube. I'm bringing "Forbidden Planet" up because I saw a clip of it in one of my film/television classes recently. My professor said and I could tell, it's a precursor to "Star Trek" (TOS). Also, according to IMDB.com, in the trivia section, Gene Roddenberry is sited to have said the film was inspiration for the TOS.)
