Maybe I'll start writing more. I can never really think of anything to write about, though. Just been working lately. Usually about 20 hours at the office and 5-35 hours at Menards. heh Going home this weekend since I couldn't go home for the 4th. I'll be home Friday - Monday. Don't really have any plans yet other than dinner w/ the family and grandparents Friday night. And Saturday I am probably going to Kart Kountry with Jennifer, Tony, and Tim. Hopefully, others will come as well.
A week from tonight, I'll be in LaPorte to see Katie. Next Wednesday, I am going to Chicago with her family to spend the day. Just walk around and hang out. Should be fun. I haven't been in a few years. I like her family. They're good people. Her dad and brother like cars, and they all have good senses of humor. We seem to get along well so far. I hope it continues. I'll be up there til I come back to Funcie Friday morning for work.
Things with Katie are going as well as can be, I suppose. She lives 3 hours away, and we see each other every 2-3 weeks. I'm looking forward to her moving back into town. I hope we continue doing really well, and that my head doesn't get all messed up b/c she's my 'girlfriend.' Every since we started dating, I've noticed I'm quite a bit happier. I don't worry about the small shit as much, and try to see the good in everything. I enjoy being happy. :-p
This is somewhat relevant, but applies to everything in life in general... Jennifer gave me a good piece of advice the other day. Not anything profound, but it seems to have really stuck with me since then: Enjoy life now and don't rush into other things. Live in the now. I'd like to keep that in the front of my mind. It's good to remember and really helps day-to-day.
I've also started re-reading my book I started last summer: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. It's a book about a father and son's motorcycle trip across country. The main themes tend to be about finding one's self, enlightenment, and enjoying the small things in life. I, also, hope to keep alot I've learned from this book with me.
I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. I need to go to the gym...
