as of late...ive had nothing to really but sit and think. and after a few days of that, ive come up with one thing. ive managed to come up with the one true statement someone can say about mankind, humanity, the world, society, etc etc etc.
what is that statement you may ask? well let me first tell you my thought process.
there are a few basic truths that i know about that seem to govern the way life works. those are 1. if person/group a have something that person/group b wants, then person/group b is gona take it. ok that ones easy. but then we get to 2. once person/group b has obtained what they wanted, person/group c will take it from them, thus allying person/group a with person/group b against person/group c..who well then make friends with person/group d etc etc. now, thats basically that last 100000 years of human existance in a nutshell. thats probobly why communism came up...where some smart dude with good intentions decided that if noone had anyhting that everyone didnt have, then everyone would be happy...which leads to number3: people cant be trusted. over the course of human existence, we've discovered that people cant be trusted because by nature we're all flawed. but that doesnt mean that we cant be nice and decent to eachother...it just means that we're more prone to not be. (if youre lost either read it again or give up)
so here we are. 6 billion+ people who are by nature evil and cant be trusted. that sucks doesnt it? but one could make the arguement that there are good people in the world who can keep society rolling smoothly. and sure..of course there are some good people in the world, but no one is perfect and thusly everyone is bound to act by human natue....basic instinct of desire and greed. some people just control it better than others.
so logically..the next thing for me to say is that there are two kinds of people in the world: people who try to act decent and nice to eachother or people that dont give a shit. now if everyone could be like the first group, then we'd have no problem. its group 2 that screws shit up. people think its cool to not care...and everyone is always like 'i dont care' whatever thats bullshit. when people dont care about other people, theres nothing stopping them from stealing and murdering or whatever. and theres a hell of a lot of those people in the world. now the good people...being not-perfect like everyone else, frown on the 'bad' people but at the same time...thats hypocritical because the good people are still bad by human nature...so thats where everything gets way complicated. and we find ourselves asking 'who the hell are we supposed to be?" and the answer is: well i dont i dont know what the answer is. noone knows what the answer. how can we tell if we are 'good' or 'bad'? we can tell if we do 'good' or 'bad' acts..but really how do we know if we are in fact 'bad'?
