Golly what a great day!
so most of this week totally sucked. like, no joke, REALLY BED. but NOT today! so i went to school, but then cut out of the pep rally to go to the Doyle rally downtown where i heard Gwen Moore, Kathleen Faulk, Barbara Lawton, Herb Kohl and Jim Doyle all speak. then, if i wasn't already proud enough to be a democrat after 5 eloquent speakers, BILL effin CLINTON takes the stage and totally floors me. i mean, i'd always thought that he was pretty cool, but holy hell. that man is an amazing speaker. it was totally worth skipping seeing some kids parade around in the halls, then like, play ultimate frisbee, or whatever went on at that pep rally, to go to the Doyle rally. (question: why was Clinton's speech followed by U2 jams? OMGolly! I almost got to shake his hand. he was just shaking hands with the mob and all, and he got the guy in front of me, but then his little secret service man ushered him away.)
but if that wasn't enough, i only made it to the last 40 minutes of MYSO, after making a rather loud (accidentally) entrance, which i found a little funny, then i kicked it with my boy kevin whilst waiting for parents.
then some cool cats who were skipping the spirit dance came over to mi casa and we watched The Brain that Wouldn't Die (one of my personal favorite "horror" movies) then also the Alfred Hitchcock film, the 39 Steps, which, in the end, made very little sense. all in all though, things are good. all unpleasentness (not rhino related at least) has been resolved, plus a great rally, plus hanging with some pimps, equals an AWESOME day!
