... on a new bike.
My first ride was on Sunday. I went back to the UU and saw Geoff Kaufman sing some Labor related folk songs as well as relate some of the history of the Labor Movement. I stopped at West Fest on the way down and the way back. It was a nice stopping point for me first ride.
My second bike ride:
I am trying not to ride the main streets with more traffic, especially on a weekday just after work when the traffic is a higher. I made my way down to Confluence Park, where the Susquehanna River meets the Chenango River. It is really pretty down there. I rode up the river walk close to the river. I Rode very slowly and walked the bike down hill so as not to interfere with any pedestrians. It also gave my legs some work to accustom them to riding again, starting from a stop at the bottom of any slop. On the way back I took the street level path back to Confluence Park. From there I crossed the Susquehanna on the foot bridge. There is only a little distance to go West from there until u hit a small stream. I turned around and rode closer to the river than the road all the way to the Exchange Street Bridge. From there I rode home, passing by Imagicka stopping to say hey to my wife sitting outside.
