A month later, things are all flip-side. Nothing bad.
No more service bar for me at work, I'm doin all the work now, Bartending complete with serving, and I make quite the cash I've been after for some time. Things at the restaurant are getting interesting. We have a television production company interested in using us for a reality TV show that would be on the Bravo network. We are still in the early stages of negotiations with them, but it'll be quite interesting. I'm just very happy I was surfing Craigslist that day and came across the ad.
Things I've been meaning to post for over a month now:
I've somehow wandered my way into Umphrey's Circle. We had a birthday party back in early september for a guy who was friends with Umphreys, and the band all came to the restaurant and I went in and bartended for them, afterwards I hung out with them all and talked to all of them about a shitload of stuff. Really cool, chill people. It was kinda cool hanging out with them, knowing that in a few hours, they were all about to take off and kick start thier fall national tour around the country. A week after that, Vince (thier manager) showed up at the restaurant again and I got to talk with him quite a bit, he was blown away by what I had to say (I told him about my upcoming audio ideas, and as well as being a "deaf" musician and learning music and blah blah blah) but he seemed really impressed. Its quite cool I got to leave my mark with them, they'll definitly be around again, they are actually even thinking of using the restaurant as a post show gig place, but they also said they really dug the place as a cool chill spot.
Also been doing quite the networking with all northside musicians, I'm at pretty good point and am getting more confident about careers post-graduation.
There's been some theft in my apartment, twice in the past month. I had a party for Steve back in the beginning of Sept. Had about 7 close friends over. Lots of heavy drinking involved, drugs, and the usual schtick. Anyways, I noticed the next day that my bank car was missing from my desk where I last say it. Didn't make a big deal of it, I thought I had closed out the account. Stupid bank drama ensued with the whole account, but it wasn't until my birthday that I was informed that my card had been used twice and over a hundred dollars was taken out. Sooooo...what that means is...one of my friends stole the card from me and made two seperate transactions...Yeah! Fuck that. Don't know who exactly, but I have my suspicians. Filed a police report and a bank report, so just kinda waiting around for more info on that.
Last week, one of my roomates was out drinking heavily all night, and bought a friend back to the apartment. At the time of this incident, I was sleeping in my room. I guess Tom passed out, and Chad was out on the back porch smoking or on the phone...Toms friend stole: Toms new laptop, Ipod, $2000 cash from Chaz, his digi camera, checks, stole my pipe and a few other things. They had to go back to the kid three times to get everything back. I'm just happy the only thing of mine stolen was a pipe. But that was pretty bogus.
A lot of previous concerts this past month. 2 nights of Rancid, one night of Sound Tribe Sector 9, 2 nights of cheese this past weekend.

Much much better show.
I felt as if there was a lot more to say but my train of thought was disrupted.
perhaps I'll be back in another month or so when I next remember that I have this thing.
