RPF is wrong. Though I did look it up and the really offensive statement Churchill made was paraphrased from a real quote of his, or at least one that's been attributed to him before this episode.
Otherwise, I thought it was hilarious. Sometimes intentionally.
Still not sold on Matt Smith as the Doctor (his only Doctorish moments are really just David Tennantish moments, or moments where he says something so Doctorish that no actor could fail with that line), but I'm at least getting used to him now.
I'm neutral on Amy. Her accent is great but is canceled out by miniskirts and general 80'sness. (Seriously, people were speculating from set photos that she'd literally be from the 80's. That's just sad.) Either she'll grow on me over the season, or she'll turn from a companion into the Doctor's girlfriend and I'll hate her, but I don't know which yet.
I think I am complaining too much for an episode I actually enjoyed watching.
Not looking forward to next week, in which a character whose story is complete and over comes back to face a villain whose effect has been thoroughly used up. That seems worse to me than daleks, seeing as they at least did new things with the daleks this time. On the plus side, I've now figured out what the Steven Moffat Drinking Game consists of (arcwords (or arcSFX, as the case may be) and references to his previous stories). This was my biggest concern about RTD's departure.
