AHHHHH?

Let's see... today I recieved an invoice from my insurance informing me that they paid $800 of the $1000 that I owed to the hospital. That's good. I had previously recieved a bill from the hospital telling me that I owed $1000 after recieving an invoice from the insurance that said I was ineligable for all of it. So now I only owe $200. not bad.

But also in the same envelope with the invoice from the insurance company was another one with my name saying that they paid $2,000 of $30,000. O__O I assue you that I have recieved no invoices or bills for the hospital for this much. It was supposedly for a visit on 3/10, but my most recent bill from the hospital was from February to this month and made no mention of anything other than the $1,000 I owe. So it had best be a mistake.

Other than that, I am completing my capstone work slowly. I have contemplated not applying for the credential program, but I should do it now because this is ideal housing for right now. But I have to take the CSET and the CBEST, and since I didn't take either earlier, I'm going to take them in June and July. That great since it gives me time to prepare, but I have to make sure I pass the first time or else everything is a no go.

What is a capstone? I haven't mentioned it before it seem. That is the ultimate in CSUMB. You take it the last semester, and it is exacly what it should sound like. It's the linking of everything you have learned at CSUMB. We make a big deal thinking about social justice and how to get young students to feel as if they have something to offer the community so they realize they are important, right now.

So my research topic is based around the problem of the underrepresentation of Latinas in science careers, and I'm looking specifically at the educational track to figure out what schools can do. I actually went into middle school classrooms to see what's going on for myself. I took note of how interested Latinas actually were in science by observing their behaviors. I also took note of the behaviors of the teachers to see if there was a male female bias in the classroom.

So now I'm in the process of writing everything up.
