saw your post on UT, totally agree with the marijuana thing. i've never touched it in my life but i am for legalization. it's the same thing as cigarettes and beer combined. tax it and sell that shit.

yeah, i smoke, and it poses no more threat to safety/health more than alcohol. i think the whole gateway drug thing will pass if it is leagalized- but you have to admit, it would be damn weird to walk into the quicksack and buy a blunt... that would be so weird.

you all...are crazy. Cigarettes shouldn't be legal as it is. IT KILLS PEOPLE. I don't give a flying poo if it saves peoples lives...then use it for medical purposes! But legalize it? That's...wow. Manda!

Seconded. Why make something legal if it fucks people up more? Alcohol and cigarettes, yes, are not healthy. But why go through the trouble of legalizing something if it does no good except for some medical purposes?

Just because punishment and discipline doesn't get through to some people doesn't mean it doesn't get through at all. Just because some people haven't listened about pot's harmful effects doesn't mean nobody does. I for one know from these kinds of things that pot is a stupid thing to do and that a lot of people do it just for kicks and socialization, which is a dumb thing to do anything harmful.

I understand that alcohol can be just as harmful but that means work on making alcohol harder to get, not legalize something equally harmful.

I don't agree. The most abused drugs are the ones that are legalized.

I really don't have much of an opinion on whether Pot should be legalized or not. I don't know enough about it to do that. People smoke it whether or not it's illegal, so maybe we should ask the question: what about alcohol, what about cigarettes? If you think they should be banned because they are harmful, chances are, you're going to be against pot too. But thinking alcohol and cigarettes are ok but pot isn't is probably one of the weirdest paths of thinking that I've ever heard.

So yea, there you have it. I think that's all I have to say about that.
