follow-up
So, another adoption fair on Saturday, this one sponsored by a different cat rescue org at a different pet store.
And on Sunday, we're scheduled to meet this hunka hunka fat cat.
Bear
His current foster person says he weighs 22 lbs. I can't even imagine. Reminds me of the vampire-cat in Christopher Moore's novel Bite Me, which kept growing and growing until eventually it was the size of a small child. Hopefully, Bear will be a bit less bloodthirsty.
(On another note, I can't believe I'm only just learning that Bite Me is the third in a trilogy. I didn't love the book, but I'd be willing to flip through the others to see how they read. From what I can tell, he likes his spunky heroines, which works for me. Funnily enough, I still haven't read the book that first made me aware of him Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal. Must pick that up one of these days. In the meantime, I've read Fluke and Fool and really enjoyed them.)
