what's up with that? like, how did that "happen?"
It seems as if people, some people, are being friendlier lately.
On the one hand, this is kind of lightening and inspires me to reciprocate. On the other hand, this is kind of puzzling and I wonder why it happens.
(I tend to assume it is some changed circumstance in their own lives that has inspired them to reach out more, but I've yet to think of a non-weirdo way to ask. That is, I've yet to think of a method of asking that would elicit the information I seek without making me seem rudely nosy.)
