I have a purple-ish turtleneck and a greenish pencil skirt I'd sometimes thought of wearing together, but then shied away because purple and green sounded a little too junior high. (Like, I literally did have a purple and green sheath dress with matching [long, swingy] coat that I wore in junior high. My Nigerian relatives sometimes send me outfits and that was perhaps my very favorite of them all. I remember rushing from a school dance, coat floating in the breeze of my passage, busily checking my watch to make sure the carriage wouldn't disappear before I got to the parking lot.)
Then, yesterday, I read a bit of this blog:
